Whatever you decide to do for Purple Alert please read this.

It’s important that the message we send out is sensitive to the rights and wishes of people living with dementia and consistent with Alzheimer Scotland’s vision.

Please take 5 minutes to read carefully our guidelines on what you SHOULD say and what you SHOULDN’T say.

  • People living with dementia
  • The app is free

  • If someone is missing, phone 999

  • Dementia sufferers
  • PA is the ultimate solution
    for missing people
  • There will be lots of people
    looking for the missing person

Volunteer 1 Hour

It’s amazing how much it can be done in one hour. It would be great if you could print this poster and display it into your local GP surgery, or your library, or your local shop.
IMPORTANT: Please ask the venue’s manager if it’s ok to do so.

Volunteer 1 Day

Would you like to set up a stall in your area?

We are working on this option to make it as straight forward as possible. If you’re interested, please get in touch.
